A booster pump (feed pump) (2) for a hydraulic system is proposed, which is equipped with at least one outlet valve (8) whose valve closure body (9) is loaded by a valve spring (12). By means of a gas-filled hollow-body (cavity) ring (14), the valve closure body (9) is kept at a distance from its valve seat (7), so that the booster pump (2) can be evacuated through its outlet valve (8) for subsequent priming with hydraulic pressure medium. During a first pressure rise in the system, the hollow-body ring (14) is compressed, so that the valve closure body (9, 21, 22, 24) slips through the hollow-body ring (14) and reaches its valve seat. As a result, the outlet valve (8) is ready for operation. The booster pump (2) can be used as a recycling pump (return pump) for anti-blocking systems of hydraulic braking systems.
