Date Mar. 18, 1993.A device for pressurizing an aerosol can (11) in order to refill it with propellant gas (10) comprises a housing (12) containing an air compressor (14) which consists of a cylinder (15), a driving motor (16) and a plunger, a filling nozzle (18) for injecting pressurized air into the aerosol can, a mechanism for activating said compressor when a can is fitted to the filling nozzle, and a mechanism for deactivating said compressor when the air injected into the can reaches a predetermined pressure. A coupling member is provided for coupling the device and the aerosol can when the latter is positioned in a seating (17).
