PURPOSE:To reduce facility cost and to improve productivity and economy by incorporating a trimming mechanism in a foam molding machine for foam molding foamable resin, and executing foam molding and then trimming in the same machine. CONSTITUTION:A skin 16 molded by powder slush molding means is set in a cavity 12, and a previously molded core 17 is set in a core mold 13. Then, after a suitable amount of foamable urethane resin 18 is cast on the skin 15 set in the cavity mold 12, both the molds 12, 13 are closed, and the resin 18 is foamed. Thus, a resin molded form of a three-layer structure integral with the core 17, a foamed urethane layer 18 and the skin 16 is molded. Then, a heating cutter 14 in the mold 12 is extruded toward the form without releasing the form, thereby trimming a side edge of the form. After trimming, the form is released to obtain the resin molded form. |
