PURPOSE:To obtain a growth promoter for accelerating growth of infants or young animals. CONSTITUTION:This growth promoter comprises angiogenin and/or its decomposition product as an active ingredient. The growth promoter is pharmaceutically manufactured to give a medicine or added as an additive to a food, a drink or a feed. Since angiogenin can be separated and produced from a milky raw material relatively readily, the growth promoter comprising angiogenin and/or its decomposition product as an active ingredient can be inexpensively supplied. Consequently, the growth promoter is useful as a material for a medicine, a food, a drink and a feed. |
