PURPOSE:To improve the polishing performance by rotatably supporting the outer circumferential edge of a disk-shaped work which is vertically placed by three holding rollers, arranging polishing tools on both sides of the work, and holding the polishing material of the respective polishing tools in the holding recessed part through the cushion material. CONSTITUTION:A plate-shaped supporting boy 11 is vertically provided in the center of a horizontal supporting table 2, two supporting shaft bodies 13 are pivotably supported thereby, and a lower side holding roller 14 to hold the outer circumferential edge of the work W is mounted on the tip part of the respective shaft bodies 13. A supporting arm 18 to be swayed by a cylinder 17 is supported by the supporting body 11, an upper side holding roller 19 is mounted on the end part, and these rollers 14, 19 are interlockingly rotated by the action of a motor 25. A polishing tool 34 which is pushable against the work W by the action of a pushing cylinder 37 is supported by a holding body 32 arranged on both sides of the supporting body 11 through a rotary shaft body 33 in order to execute polishing of both sides of the work W, and the polishing material 42 of the respective polishing tools 34 is held through the cushion material 43 in the holding recessed part 41a of the holding member 41. |
