PURPOSE:To efficiently obtain a high quality preform for polarizing plane maintaining optical fiber easy in the decision of spindle at the time of making a polarizing plane maintaining optical fiber, free from the generation of bubbles and the contamination of impurities and free from the generation of crack or the like.
