PURPOSE:To provide the manufacture of a steering wheel core metal which, after the welding of a ring portion core metal and a spoke portion core metal, can remove simply the bend of the ring portion core metal caused by welding and can correct easily the ring portion core metal into a regular formation surface and can reduce a manufacturing work number. CONSTITUTION:At the time of the removal of the bend of a ring portion core metal 2, the bend is removed by pressing the ring portion core metal 2 against a plane parallel with a regular formation surface P while the vicinity of the welding place 5 of the ring portion core metal 2 where a spoke portion core metal 4 is welded to the ring portion core metal 2, is pinchingly held in a direction that meets at right angles with the regular formation surface P of the ring portion core metal 2 and is being conducted with plastic deformation. |
