PURPOSE:To obtain a method and apparatus for squeezing vegetable juice and capable of separating exclusively vegetable juice from the residue at high speed in high yield without destroying the nutrient component in the vegetable. CONSTITUTION:A vegetable used as the raw material is roughly crushed with a screw press provided with a roller having a particular shape and the roughly crushed vegetable is pressed and squeezed using the high pressure generated in a hydraulic press. Exclusively the vegetable juice can be separated in high yield without destroying the nutrient component in the vegetable by the use of the above two-stage squeezing process. |
