PURPOSE:To quicken the control response of total reactive power control by a circulating current type cycloconverter connected in parallel with an AC power, and to obtain stable reactive power control. CONSTITUTION:Discrete reactive-power control system 20 is mounted to each of one or three cycloconverters while an output is generated in response to measured reactive power when measured reactive power detected by a total reactive power detector 24 is lagging reactive power, the quantity of increase is set on the basis of the deviation of an output from a limiter circuit 25 limiting the output to zero and a total reactive-power control value at the time of leading reactive power, and a reactive-power command value is acquired by an integrator 35 for a generated reactive-power reference command, in which the quantity of reduction is set on the basis of the deviation of the output from the limiter circuit 25 and a receiving-end reactive-power control point. A deviation between the reactive-power generating command value Qi* and reactive power Qi detected by discrete reactive power detector 36 is taken in the command value Qi*, and the circulating currents of the cycloconverter 1 are controlled by discrete reactive-power control circuit 38 on the basis of the deviation epsilon1. |
