PURPOSE:To enable a user to easily understand the intentions of a series of editing jobs by showing the changing intention of a document as the relation information between the unedited and edited documents. CONSTITUTION:When a user designates a desired document to which a change history is shown, a document control means 1g retrieves a document change history storing means 1h and takes out the document change history information. Then the means 1g retrieves a document information storing means 1e and takes out the information on the relative documents. These two information are sent to a change history selector means 3b, and the history information and the document information having the changing intentions discordant with the rules stored in a change history selection rule storing means 3f are deleted out of the change history information. Meanwhile the information accordant with the rules are sent to a change history display processing means 3a and shown on an editing history display means 3d. In such a constitution, the user can easily and quickly know a series of editing histories and their changing intentions. |
