Coating and encapsulation composition

A coating and encapsulation (embedding) composition, in particular for water- and chemicals-resistant coating, containing a binder matrix based on a 2-component synthetic resin which contains a binder matrix comprising from 30 to 70 % by weight, based on the matrix of a mixture of an aliphatic and/or aromatic hydrocarbon fraction having a boiling point of > 150 DEG C and coal dust having a particle size of significantly below 100 mu m in a mixing ratio of from 2 : 1 to 12 : 1 by weight, and from 70 to 30 % by weight of synthetic resin, and optionally solvents, standardising agents, fillers and other conventional additives.
