The invention relates to a functional component usable for demonstration and/or training purposes which can be releasably secured to the fitting surface of a base (1). It has a clamp (8) which can be engaged with securing recess (3) in the support (1) which is actuated by rotating an actuator (12). On the actuator there is a downwardly projecting clamping head (18) which can be inserted into the securing recess (3) and can be positioned by rotation in such a way that it engages behind two retaining projections in the securing recess (3). Further rotation of the actuator clamps the functional component against the surface of the support (1).
