PURPOSE:To transmit an output of an engine efficiently and extend driving distance of a vehicle longer than the normal one, by operating a lockup by all gear ratios in a transmission mechanism, under a condition where remaining quanty of fuel is small, and an alarm means is operated. CONSTITUTION:Output of an engine 1 is transmitted to a tire via a torque converter 2 and a transmission mechanism 3. A shift solenoid 11 is controlled by the shift control means 51 of a control unit 5 based on each detection signal from an acceleration opening sensor 6 or a vehicle speed sensor 10. Also a lock-up control means 5-2 controls 2 lock-up solenoid 12, thereby a directly connected condition on input and output sides 21, 22 of the torque converter 2 is selected. Additionally, a remaining quantity of fuel is warned by a warning means 9. In this case, the input and output sides 21, 22 of the torque converter 2 are put in connection at all gear ratios of the transmission mechanism 3 at the time of driving an automobile, only when the alarm means 9 is operated. |
