HINGE BOWLLIKE SECTION

PURPOSE: To reform a hinge pot which can be assembled and disassembled without tool so that the pot may be favorably assembled in a particle board or timber. CONSTITUTION: A hinge pot has a housing which can be inserted into a bore 16 in a furniture part 13 and dowel-type expandable clamping jaws 21 which can be inserted into the hole 16. The jaws 21 can be pressed against the wall of the bore 16 by way of expanding members 2 constructed as tie rods. The expanding members 2 are movable by way of an eccentric lever in the direction of insertion of the hinge pot perpendicular to the plane of mounting of the pot and the jaws 21 are made of visco-elastic material. The metallic expanding members 2 provided between the hinge pot and the jaws 21 have hooks at their free ends and contact pressure cams 6 which are supported against the housing wall of the hinge pot on the side opposite to the hooks 3.
