<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the subject compound in a safe and simple operation in an industrial scale under mild reaction conditions by acylating a 7-hydroxy-1- indanone oxime derivative, catalytically reducing the acylated product and, if necessary, subsequently treating the reduction product with an acid. CONSTITUTION:This method for producing a 1-amino-2,3-dihydro-7-hydroxy-1H- indene derivative comprises acylating a 7-hydroxy-1-indanone oxime derivative of formula I (R<1>-R<4> are lower alkyl), catalytically reducing the produced acylated 7-hydroxy-1-indanone oxime of formula II (R<5> is lower alkyl) and, if necessary, subsequently treating the produced 1-amino-2,3-dihydro-7-hydroxy-1H-indene derivative of formula III with an acid to form its salt. The compound of formula I used as the starting raw material is easily obtained e.g. by reacting a compound of formula VI with hydroxyl amine. The compound of formula III is useful as an anoxemia-improving agent or antioxidizing agent.</p> |
