PURPOSE:To provide the word processor and phonetic reading deleting method which automatically delete only phonetic reading from the same main character string put with the phonetic reading. CONSTITUTION:When a main character whose phonetic reading is to be deleted and the phonetic reading characters attached to it are specified on a keyboard 2, a CPU 1 retrieves the same main character and phonetic reading characters with them in a document in a RAM 7 and once the same main character and phonetic reading characters are retrieved, operation for deleting only the phonetic reading characters is performed as to all documents in the RAM in the search direction. Consequently, specified phonetic reading characters are automatically deleted from all the same character strings with the specified main character. |
