PURPOSE:To improve the durability of a lighting fixture by applying beforehand a hot melt adhesive to the position to install a lens, and in a scope wider than the scope to pressure contact to the adhering position of a housing, so as to form a membranous coverage, and to extend the time up to the generation of a flood to the vehicle lighting fixture. CONSTITUTION:Prior to the adhesion of a housing 1 and a lens 2, a membranous coverage 4 is formed beforehand to a seal rib 2a to be the position to adhere the lens 2. This coverage 4 is formed of the material same as a hot melt adhesive 3 used in the adhesion of the housing 1 and the lens 2, and the adhesion is carried out by soaking the seal rib 2a in the liquid of the hot melt adhesive 3 made in the melted condition by a heating, for example. In this case, when a resin member to form the lens 2 and the adhesive 3 are contacted, a weak chemical reaction is generated to generate a gas for a long period, and the resultant bubble communicates the inside and the outside of the lighting chamber. Consequently, the passage time up to the generation of a flood is extended to the level giving no trouble practically, so as to improve the durability of the lighting fixture. |
