PURPOSE:To obtain an excellent demodulation signal by detecting the correlation of two adjacent extract points each, comparing the quantity at each point and generating a timing clock signal at a maximum extract point. CONSTITUTION:A correlation detection circuit 17 samples a level of detection signals X, Y being outputs of a delay detection circuit 9 at plural extract points and detects the correlation of signals sampled at one set of adjacent extract points, accumulates the signals for each set of extract points by plural symbols and the result is outputted to a correlation discrimination circuit 18. The circuit 18 compares the quantity of correlation data to detect a set of extract points giving a maximum correlation, one of the set points is decided as a timing point and a timing clock signal is generated based thereon. On the other hand, signals X, Y being outputs from the circuit 9 are given to data identification sections 11, 12, in which they are decoded by using a timing clock signal being the output of the circuit 18 and the result is demodulated into a data string by a parallel/serial converter 14. |
