PURPOSE:To prevent amount data to be paid by a payer front being altered when an IC card owner executes a money transaction by using his (or her) own IC card. CONSTITUTION:This system is constituted of an IC card 4, a terminal equipment 2 for clerk operation and a host computer 1 connected to the equipment 2 and capable of deciding whether transaction data received from the equipment 2 are legally processed or not, and the IC card 4 is provided with a keyboard 5 capable of allowing input operation when a password known only by the card owner is inputted. Various kinds of comparing/confirming means is provided for confirming that an amount inputted from the IC card 4 by card owner' s operation has been legally processed by the host computer 1 and the equipment 2 is provided with an amount data comparing means 22 for comparing whether amount data inputted from the keyboard 5 coincide with amount data inputted from the equipment 2 by clerk operation or not so as to prevent the amount data from being altered by a third person. |
