LIGHT TRANSMISSION WIRE FEEDING IN DEVICE

PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for monitoring of the traveling state of a light transmission wire near an inlet of a tube by a worker by providing a speed detector which detects the traveling speed of the light transmission wire to be fed into the tube. CONSTITUTION:A drum 2 for delivering the light transmission wire 1 is housed in a pressure vessel 6. Compressed air is fed from a gas supply port 4 through the pressure vessel 6 into the tube 5 and the drum 2 is rotated to deliver the light transmission wire 1. A transparent cylindrical body 11 is provided between the outlet of the pressure vessel 6 and the inlet of the tube 5 and the traveling speed of the light transmission wire 1 passing the transparent cylindrical body 11 is detected by the speed detector 12. A decision circuit 13 generates a stop signal to stop the driving device of the drum 2 when the speed detected by the speed detector 12 lowers down to the speed lower than a preset speed. The set speed is set at the speed slightly lower than the delivery speed of the light transmission wire 1 by the drum 2.
