PURPOSE:To connect internal electrodes selectively and with high reliability by a method wherein a pair of temporary external electrodes connecting exposed parts of the internal electrodes are made negative poles, a metal is deposited by plating on every other layer of the internal electrodes on the remaining lateral side and the deposited metals are connected by a conductive material. CONSTITUTION:A laminated body in which internal electrodes 2 and 2' are exposed alternately on both right and left lateral sides of sheets 1 and 1' of an electrostrictive strain material is prepared and temporary external electrodes 3 and 3' are formed on both sides. After one of the lateral sides of the laminated body on which the temporary external electrode is not formed is masked, subsequently, plating is conducted with the temporary external electrodes connected to minus and with an counter electrode plates to plus and thereby strip-shaped deposits 4 and 4' of metal plating are formed on every other layer of the internal electrodes. Then, plating layers are formed on the masked lateral side in the rear in the same way by using a temporary external electrode being different from the aforesaid ones. A laminated body block thus obtained is cut into single elements and the platings 4 and 4' of each of them are connected by conductive materials 5 and 5'. |
