PURPOSE:To provide an image forming device capable of using thick paper as a transfer material, and increasing an image formation speed in the case of using plain paper, especially of a small size, as the transfer material. CONSTITUTION:In the image forming device, equipped with a photosensitive drum 3, a transfer drum 9 that turns with a transfer material P thereon, and a transfer means that transfers a visible image formed on the photosensitive drum 3 to the transfer material P, the transfer drum 9 has a sufficient size to hold a plurality of small size transfer materials P, and also is provided with a plurality of grippers (transfer material gripping means) and transfer sheets (transfer material sucking means). Because the transfer drum 9 are provided with both the grippers and transfer sheets, thick paper can be used as the transfer material P and, in the case of using plain paper, especially of a small size, as the transfer material P, a plurality of sheets of plain paper can be sucked to the transfer drum 9, and an image forming operation is made to speed up. |
