PURPOSE:To provide an image forming device which prevents a paper from being jammed by detecting the thick paper and forcibly ejecting it even when copying is executed on the thick paper in a both-side or a multiple copying mode. CONSTITUTION:A means detecting the loop quantity of a sheet is provided between both pairs of carrying rollers 6 and 7, 8 and 9 of the image forming device provided with a pair of carrying rollers 8 and 9 which can be individually turned on or off and a pair of carrying rollers 6 and 7 also on the upstream side from a pair of carrying rollers 8 and 9. Thus, even when the copying is erroneously executed on the thick paper in the both-side or the multiple copying mode by a user, the thick paper is detected and forcibly ejected to the outside of the machine. As the result, the thick paper is prevented from being jammed. |
