A mine clearance device including a magnetic field generator coil (2) and a power supply circuit (5) therefor, wherein the power supply circuit (5) includes a capacitor (6) connected in parallel across the terminals (3a, 3b) of the coil (2) and a switching unit (8) for connecting and disconnecting said capacitor (6) and a voltage source (7). The device may be used in military mine clearance vehicles.
