PURPOSE:To obtain a favorably transferred image with the same small printing energy for directly transferring image on body to be transferred as for transferring image on its transferred image by a method wherein the thermal diffusivity of image part after transferring is set to be below the specified value. CONSTITUTION:The heat transfer recording medium concerned is produced by arranging hot melt ink layer 2 consisting of colorant 11, thermal nonconductor 12, fine hot melt particles and binder 15 on support 1. In this case, the thermal diffusivity of image part after transferring is set to be 0.01cm<2>/sec or less. At heat transfer recording, image is transferred onto body to be transferred by means of heat transfer recording medium. After that, image having the shape same as or different from the above-mentioned transferred image is transferred by means of heat transfer recording medium, onto which hot melt ink layer 2 having the color same as or different from that of the image is provided. Thus, favorable transferred image can be obtained with the same small printing energy for directly transferring image on the body to be transferred as for transferring image on the transferred image. |
