PURPOSE:To reduce a time for transmitting printing information and conducting a printing processing by providing a plurality of buffer memories and a means for reading information of specifying a bit developing memory and selecting the bit developing memory. CONSTITUTION:A printer receives a printing code through an interface 2 from an external device H, such as a computer or a printer testing machine. The received printing information contains information of specifying a buffer memory for developing information to a bit pattern and information of a retention priority of the stored bitdeveloped printing information. The received printing code is developed to a bit pattern as printing data. The developed printing data is transmitted to a printing part 8 to be printed. Since the printer is provided with a plurality of buffer memories 4, a buffer memory 4 used for developing the information can be arbitrarily selected. At the time of printing, one of the buffer memories 4 is selected, and the developed printing data is transmitted to the printing part 8 be printed. |
