<p>PURPOSE:To achieve the improvement of treating efficiency and the simplification of maintenance by incorporating rotatable construction to the filter bed in the filter bed type foul water treating apparatus. CONSTITUTION:The foul water 7 containing organic substances is introduced together with the circulating treated water being fed through a circulating pump 5 into a spray trough 3, from where it overflows and is evenly sprayed to the upper part of a filter bed 1. The liquid having been sprayed falls down while being stirred in the filter bed 1 under rotation by the operation of a drive motor 2, during which time the organic substances in the liquid make contact to the microbes on the surface of the filter bed 1 and the oxygen in air and are thereby oxidized.</p> |
