PURPOSE: To efficiently select a vector in the motion compensating image processing method and its device. CONSTITUTION: Moving vectors are generated for respective pixels of an output image and when test blocks of a couple of input images directed at the time of a test of each moving vector are partially outside the respective input images (72), a correlation test of test block parts in the input images is conducted (76, 78) to detect the correlativity between the test blocks, thereby selecting a moving vector having the highest correlativity among detected correlativity values. |
