<p>PURPOSE: To provide a high dense and inexpensive electric connector by which a selected adjacent terminal of the electric connector having multiple receptacle terminals can be shunted. CONSTITUTION: In this electric connector 4 equipped with a self-shunt, which is a receptacle electric connector, the receptacle terminals 26 are inserted into terminal routes 24 formed at constant pitches in an insulating housing 14. Selected shunt terminals 26 to be shunted each other have an approximately flag shape having a shunt part 56 extended in the transverse direction and pre-load is applied. When the shunt terminals are inserted into the routes 24 communicated through an aperture 30 while being turned at 180 degrees, the shunt parts 56 are mutually brought into contact and shunt state is caused at the non-fitting time. When the shunt parts are fitted with a mating connector 2, the shunt parts 56 are parted by the pins 12 of the connector and the shunt state is released.</p> |
