A gas analysis device for detecting and indicating deviation of the air/fuel ratio of a gas mixture from a predetermined value is proposed which makes it possible reliably to detect and indicate deviations of the air/fuel mixture from a predetermined value. For this purpose the deviations from the predetermined value are integrated over a predeterminable time period. The integral is compared with a predeterminable threshold value.
