The invention relates to a process for the production of thermal power by the combustion of gas. In the process of the invention, the thermal power is produced by the combustion of acetylene gas in a combustion chamber. The equipment according to the invention is characterized thereby that the machine, kettle or the like, particularly gas turbine (16) is connected with a power-supplying unit (25) used for producing acetylene gas by the insertion of a gas reservoir (8); and the equipment contains one or more control guide(s) providing to introduce the acetylene gas produced to the gas reservoir (8) depending on the amount of acetylene gas burnt for operating the gas turbine (16); as well as a safety reservoir (26), which can optionally be connected with the gas reservoir (8) and provides to feed and inert gas, e.g. nitrogen thereto. The main advantages of the invention are: the equipment is not environment-polluting; the process requires only carbon and limestone as starting materials not utilized up to the present; and the thermal efficiency of the turbine is increased. |
