A metal flexible finger ferrule 20 and a retaining collar 22 are provided for holding a dispensing device to the top of a flanged opening 14 of a container 12 The ferrule includes a plurality of flexible fingers (54) each subdivided by transverse bends 68, 72 into three portions 62, 64, 66 and as the collar is slid over the ferrule the terminal end of each finger is caused to engage against the collar and the middle portion 64 engages under the container flange (Figures 2 and 7). The collar conceals the ferrule and is irremovable until a tab (82, Figure 9) on the collar is ruptured. The ferrule finger portions are arranged such that prior to application the first portion 62 extends radially outwards at an angle relative to a skirt part 46 of the ferrule, the second portion extends axially, and the third portion extends substantially perpendicularly to the skirt part 46. The dispensing device 29, 30 extends through a central aperture 38 in the ferrule and a gasket 33 is interposed between the ferrule and the container neck top 34.
