PURPOSE:To perform the running of an automobile advantageously for a driver by setting a desirous by-pass route in case of stagnation being caused and by displaying it on the map on a display device. CONSTITUTION:Since a stagnation happens between a crosses 2 and 5 of the initial running routes in this example, the by-pass route thereof is found. First, at the cross 2, a progressive cross is found. There are 3 and 5 in this example but 5 is stagnant, so 3 is selected, then, a progressive cross is found from 3 and the cross in the following sectional map and 6 are found. Now, since 6 is nearer to 5 between the following sectional map and 6, 6 is searched according to priority. The progress can be performed to 5 and 9 from the cross 6 but 5 is the terminal of the stagnation, so 5 is selected. Now in case of no progress from 6 to 5, the progress is performed 9 8 and the by-pass route is made 2 3 6 9 8 since 8 is located ahead the stagnation on the set route. The running guide is performed in this way by displaying on the screen by searching for the by-pass as far as possible. |
