PURPOSE:To provide a lithium secondary battery having a large discharge capacity and a long life by using improved lithium nickel oxide which is abundant as a resource. CONSTITUTION:A lithium secondary battery contains LiNiO2 as a positive pole active material and LiNiO2 has the characteristics that the peak intensity of x-ray diffraction of (003) plane of LiNiO2 is 150 or more in the case the peak intensity of x-ray diffraction of (104) plane is assumed to be 100. |
