<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the solid-state image pickup device in which a digital picture signal with excellent picture quality is obtained without production of beat disturbance by using a standard CCD image sensor. CONSTITUTION:Image pickup signals outputted from solid-state image pickup sensors 1R, 1G, 1B driven at an fS1 rate are digitized by A/D converters 3R, 3G, 3B at a prescribed phase of fS1 rate. Then the digital signals are given to a 1st digital arithmetic operation section 4 comprising digital process circuits 41, 42 operated at a clock rate relating to the said fS1 rate, from which a digital luminance signal Y and two digital color difference signals CR, CB and a 2nd digital arithmetic operation section 5 comprising rate conversion circuits 50Y, 50C converts the signals into signals Y, CR, CB relating to an fS2 rate.</p> |
