PURPOSE: To attain the peculiar quantification of LDL by adding a water-soluble comb-type polymer having an anion side chain to a sample to be analyzed, and directly quantifying the content of a formed LDL peculiar agglomerate by the turbidity measuring method. CONSTITUTION: A buffer and an LDL coagulant are added, an LDL agglomerate is directly measured, and the LDL component is peculiarly quantified under the existence of other serum lipoprotein. The anion comb-type polymer is expressed by formula I, where R<1> indicates hydrogen or a lower hydrocarbon group (preferably methyl group), X indicates oxygen atom or an NH group, and A indicates a straight or branched hydrocarbon chain (preferably branched chain) having 2-10 carbon atoms. Z is induced from an acrylic ester monomer expressed by formula II. |
