摘要 PURPOSE:To stabilize the repetition frequency of super high speed soliton pulses by controlling one frequency of laser light so that the repetition frequency or frequency division repetition frequency of the super high speed soliton pulses is pulled in a reference frequency. CONSTITUTION:The repetition frequency of the super high speed optical soliton pulses outputted from a distribution amplification type optical fiber 14 is set corresponding to the respective oscillation frequencies of two DFB-LDs (distribution feedback type semiconductor laser) 11a and 11b and also varied by varying their relative frequency. Further, a PIN photodiode 16 constitutes a PLL(phase- locked loop) circuit including a reference oscillator 17 and a phase comparator 18, the oscillation frequency of the DFB LD 11b is controlled in the direction wherein the error signal of the phase comparator 18 becomes zero, and the repetition frequency of the super high speed soliton pulses is pulled in the reference frequency of a reference oscillator 17. This PLL circuit stabilizes the repetition frequency of the super high speed soliton pulses.
