<p>A mat (1) suitable as lying, seating or leaning mat, in particular for the physical therapy of diseases of the vertebral column, has a support upon which are mounted geometric bodies (2) shaped as pyramids, cones, cylinders, wedges, hemispheres and/or the like. Wirewound coils (3) interconnected in parallel or in series, or both in parallel and in series, whose center lines are perpendicular to the mat (1) and identical to the axis of the surrounding geometric bodies (2), are arranged inside the geometric bodies (2). The free ends of the series and/or parallel connection (4, 5) are connected to a source which supplies an alternating current having a frequency range from 2 to 20 oscillations per second.</p> |
