EARTH STATION TRANSMITTER-RECEIVER

PURPOSE:To provide an earth station transmitter-receiver which can communicate with plural transponders. CONSTITUTION:The RF parts 1 and 2 consist of plural RF frequency converters 6 that have a common 2nd intermediate frequency and different transmission/ reception RF frequency. An IF part includes a modulator 14 which modulates the control signal which selects the RF parts 1 and 2, and a synthesizer 13 which synthesizes the modulated control signal with the communication signal of the 2nd intermediate frequency. Then each of both RF parts 1 and 2 includes a separator 17 which separates the signals received from a transmission intermediate frequency converter 4 into the control signal and the transmission signals, a demodulator 18 which demodulates the separated control signals, and the transmission/reception switches 19 and 20 which have the functions to switch the communication signals and to connect them to the converter 6 of the corresponding RF part by the control signal. In such constitution, a single IF part are selectively connected to the RF parts 1 and 2.
