A shaping tool (1) of a packaging machine has a shaping element (5) which is movable to and fro along a track for the purpose of shaping a foil (6). A device (7) for the to-and-fro movement, having a driving element (8, 8'), is provided. The shaping element (5) is connected to an engagement element (9, 9') engageable therewith. For moving the shaping element (5) along the movement track, driving element and engagement element are in engagement. In a retracted position of the shaping element (5), the connection between driving element (8, 8') and engagement element (9, 9') can be broken. This ensures that the shaping element (5) is easily exchangeable. <IMAGE>
