A multi-glazed insulating pane consists of at least two plates of glass which are surrounded by a plastic frame, made of a material such as PVC. Each plate fits into a groove of the frame where at least a part of the groove wall and of the plate surface in it is coated by an adhesive sealant. Each member of the frame is made of two parts which fit to each other in a clip-on joint and include between them a foil of vapour diffusion barrier as the base for a wad of a moisture absorbent agent. This creates a simple and low-cost vapour barrier and overcomes the lacking water vapour tightness of PVC. |
