Pin assemblies (20, 202, 302) which are usable in shackle assemblies (100, 1010) have a transverse slot (123, 223, 323) to receive locking plates (30, 203, 303) to releasably secure the pin assemblies (20, 202, 302) in the shackle assemblies (100, 1010). Locking pins (40, 204, 304) are inserted through bores (122, 222, 322) in the shanks (120, 220, 320) of the pins (20, 202, 302) to releasably secure the locking plates (30, 203, 303) in the pins (20, 202, 302). The pin assemblies (20, 202, 302) are supported by non-circular bushes (50, 60, 1016) in the shackle assemblies (100, 1010) at least in the direction of pull. |
