PURPOSE: To provide means for adapting an injection quantity that covers a broad range and can be used in either intermittent injection or continuous injection which are currently well employed. CONSTITUTION: An injection quantity in an internal combustion engine that can be driven by a mixed fuel comprising various components is adapted. In general, the fuel is delivered by a pump 11, and a generated pressure is adjusted by a pressure regulator 14. The injection quantity is adjusted depending on an injection duration and a pressure level. In this case, both the injection duration and the generated pressure can be varied in accordance with the components of the fuel determined by, for example, a sensor 22. Determination of the injection time and the necessary fuel pressure is carried out in a controller 21 taking into consideration important operation conditions. |
