PURPOSE:To judge the collision of a vehicle from an impact force and a speed change amount based on acceleration. CONSTITUTION:Acceleration applied to a vehicle is block-integrated by a short- block integrator 16 and a long-block integrator 17 to calculate a speed change amount, a particular band component which is included in acceleration and appears conspicuously at the time of vehicle collision is extracted at a bandpass filter circuit 22 and is multiplied by a square computing device 23 to calculate an impact force. A judging circuit 26 judges collision with respective threshold value judging output of the impact force and the speed change amount, by which collision is judged totally by the impact force and the speed change amount regarding plastic collision in which a passenger is endangered when the vehicle collides, to perform high-speed and highly-accurate collision judgment. |
