PURPOSE:To promote the stratification of air-fuel mixture by tilting both upper and lower parts on an inner wall of each inlet port so as to go down toward the side of a boundary part between two inlet ports in succession to a branch point of these inlet ports. CONSTITUTION:Two inlet ports 2 and 2 to be opened to a combustion chamber of one cylinder are branched off and formed, and a fuel injection value spraying fuel is installed more upstream than a branch point 7 of these two inlet ports 2. at the more upstream than this branch point 7 of these inlet ports 2, an upper part 14 and a lower part 15 of an inner wall 13 are tilted so as to go down toward in direction of two boundary part 17 and 18 of these inlet ports 2 in the wake of the branch point 7 of each inlet port 2. In addition, the boundary part 17 connecting respective upper part 14 is formed as being projected downward in a roof form, while the boundary part 18 connecting respective lower parts 15 is formed as hollowed downward in a valley form. Accordingly, a fuel wall flow is drawn in a central part of the combustion chamber, whereby the stratification of air-fuel mixture is well promotable. |
