PURPOSE:To obtain a polyester resin which is transparent and impact-resistant, can be molded by direct blow molding, and can substitute for a polyvinyl choride resin. CONSTITUTION:This polyester resin for extrusion blow molding is produced by reacting a dicarboxylic acid component mainly comprising terephthalic acid with a glycol component contg. 5-80mol% compd. of the formula (wherein (m) and (n) are each an integer of 1-5). A hollow container is made from this resin.
