<p>PURPOSE: To allow a narrow interval between adjacent tools and to diagonally move the tools relative to a material feed axis by defining the operating axis extending nearly orthogonally to a guide member by each tool mounting carriage and preparing the tool carrier moved along the operating axis by an operating actuator. CONSTITUTION: The moving/driving system 7 for tool mounting carriages S1 , S2 is provided inside a guide F1 , and the system 7 is composed of a driving source 9 and a conveyer element 8 which is adaptable to a curvature in the case of a curved part K and follows a rectangular path in the case of a rather narrow curvature. As shown in the tool mounting carriage S1 , the connection fitting 11 which is selectively operable by engaging with the conveyer element 8 for adjusting the carriage and the clamping device 10 which clamps and locks the carriage on the guide F1 at a selected operating position or suspensive position exist on the carriage. Another remote-controlled actuator is provided in order to operate the connection fitting 11 and the clamping device 10.</p> |
