PURPOSE: To obtain a tissue holding spring for anastomotic operation correctly placed on the anvil shaft during surgical anastomotic operation by providing it with a spiral coil spring having a hand side end, terminal side end and a plurality of coils adjacently connected to mark out spring members. CONSTITUTION: A tissue holding spring 10 is composed of a plurality of connected coils 15. The spring 10 has a hand side end 20, a terminal side end 22 and a long thin part 24 between them. The spring 10 also has an inner channel 40 in the axial direction to receive a shaft. When a surgeon puts the anvil member 190 of a round stapler and a cartridge 170 into the intestinal tube, the tissue holding spring 10 is placed on the anvil shaft 196. Next, he legates the intestinal part with the spring 10 and after cutting the intestine, legates the end of the intestine closer to the cut part with either the anvil shaft 196 or the spring 10. |
