The process is characterised by the use of a membrane filter known per se, which operates without a filter bed and, compared to previous filters, permits an increased filtration rate at reduced pressure loss. Electrodes releasing heavy metal ions are installed in the water circuit prior to or in the interior of the filter, said electrodes being attached to a direct current source and releasing in particular copper ions, by means of which impurity particles are precipitated. The purified water is optically pure. The process is used in particular for keeping swimming pool water clean. <IMAGE> |
