Heat exchanger tube wall cleaning equipment

The equipment cleans the cooling tubes in movable walls round which combustion gases flow. The tubes are welded together in rows and connected to top and bottom manifolds. The latter are moved by horizontal thrusters from the rest position, into which they swing back on thruster retraction. Anvil sleeves (4) are mounted on the top and bottom manifolds (1a, 1b) of each wall (2), the top ones being pendulum-suspended via links (6,7) from fixed external points (12) overhead. Outside the exchanger sidewall pneumatic or hydraulic rams (3) with hammerheads (3a) are fixed in position level with the manifolds and on one side of the sleeves. Fixed buffers (5) are mounted on the other side.
